This is my 2nd time here. My first stint lasted a bit more than an year which is the longest I have ever been sober, thanks to this place and the personal attention I received from Mr. Singh. Anytime a resident is evicted, he or she leaves a negative review. Not me, even if I was also evicted I realized it was my fault. I had relapsed and I cannot blame the good people who offer these services.

Karma Yogi thru Dharma - Not Swayed By Your Money.. Practise HUMILITY These guys have no problem with finances. What I am trying to say is that many such servises, when it comes to evicting a resident go easy or think twice because of loosing revenue. Not Structured Living. These guys seem to have a solid financial backing. per my son who has been with them for quite some time. Money does not come into the equation as far as he knows. which allows them to implement the rules of stay both here in the USA and abroad at their places that they own in UK and Spain for sober vacations. I have recently learnt from a colleque of mine that Structured Living has a liaison with the Medical City in Dubai. The patients there come with money and are usually placed in Spain. You get a good bang for your buck as their services are HEAVILY SUBSIDIZED BY A SOURCE THAT I AM NOT PRIVY TO.. The owner or the person behind this organization believes in practicing DHARMA - path of righteousness and lead a life of a KARMA YOGI or one that embraces selfless acts of giving. Both these practices are fundamental and common among Buddhism, Hinduism and Sikhism as equally important in Christianity. You can expect a kind of service that is committed and recovery friendly. Go to this place ONLY if you yourself are commited and stay humble and teachable to better your lot through sobriety. Suggestion: If you are rich,, leave your pride of wealth at home or you will not last last long.

I have been living in the Canary Islands for the last three years and have been sober since 2011. While visiting USA to meet my daughter who goes to school in Cambridge, MA, I came across the Structured Living LLC’s website which rekindled my memories and made me pen down my review. My wife and myself have had issues with Alcohol and our sobriety dates fall within a few week of each other’s. I remember visiting their sober vacation joint in Spain in the winter of 2012 to celebrate our first sober anniversaries together. My wife is Spanish. That should explain why we chose to go Spain. She is fluent in Spanish while I can hardly speak the language. We were there for ten days and must say that we had one heck of a good time. The person in charge took care of all our needs and kept a close eye on us but we had all the freedom to enjoy our privacy. We felt reassured to say the least when a couple of the local senior officials, who were fluent in English and friends with Mr. Singh called upon us to offer their services if we needed any help. I guess he had asked them to “look after us” which says a lot about his commitment towards his cause. It is very comforting to know that while in a foreign country you do have someone in authority who you can approach if the need arises. All the while, our sober monitor would meet with us daily and tested us for any alcohol and other drugs ( as per our vacation contract ). We were obviously clean or the vacation would have been over. The weather was heavenly throughout our stay. With a “cherry picked” water front accommodation to live in a secure location and close proximity to a pristine beach & sand dunes gave us ample opportunities to have all the great fun one can have on water, sand and dunes. My favorite was the dune buggy! The food was just excellent at all the places we could visit in the small seaside village. All this and the enchanting nights did leave us with cherished memories of our first ever sober vacation, which we share with others whenever we can. Like now!

These places are simply good. I am a resident at one of their sober homes in Ann Arbor for the past two years and well qualified to make this statement for the benefit of anyone who wishes to lead a sober life and turn it around for the better. I was homeless when I arrived. My parents took care of my rent for the first two months till I got a job to begin with but that was the sum total of their help that they could provide. I did not have any money for groceries. These guys helped me apply for and obtain a bridge card that was good for groceries at the tune of $200 per month. I still remember that while I was waiting for my card to arrive, which took about two weeks, groceries and toiletries were arranged for me through an "anonymous" person. If I had to make a guess who this benefactor was, I would safely guess him to be the founder of Structured Living org. Further, I also did not have any health insurance. That was also taken care of. It took less time than it took for my bridge card as I was plugged in with the community health program for free doctor visits and prescriptions in precisely one week. I could not believe my good fortune. I have completed my GED since my arrival and actually am also enrolled in the local Washtenaw Community college. Though I take the minimum courses per semester as I have a full time job at a coffee shop, I am very excited as all my credits from my college are accepted by the reputed Univ of MIchigan . I have always wanted to be a chef and can now envision myself excelling in the culinary arts and open a small restaurant with a loan from SBA. The seeds for my succss were sown in my mind by David Singh who is the founder of this venture. I would recommend this place or places to anyone sincerely serious to lead a life with purpose.

My nephew has been a resident of a Structured Living sober home for most of this past year. I have had the chance to pick him up more than a few times during his stay which has allowed me to look at the living accommodations and interact with the male residents. Unlike the opinion of a few, who I believe most likely carry a grudge against these houses for having being evicted or for other personal reasons, I am very impressed by the clean upkeep of the accommodations and the general attitude of the residents. My nephew feels very comfortable living among others in recovery and I have seen a remarkable change for the better in him since he moved in. He recently completed his GED and has a full time job. I am not an expert in recovery but this place has helped him and our family a lot.

My experience as a resident of one of Structured Living male sober homes in Ann Arbor since last few months has been very good, especially for my wallet and recovery. Last year my parents had to shell out more than twenty thousand dollars on my 30 day treatment at a renowned facility in Florida after which I was able to stay sober for nearly two months on my own. Now, I attend a reputable local IOP three times a week at a fraction of the cost for a residential treatment, maintain a regular job on the 2nd shift at a local store while staying in a structured living environment. I am convinced that by just staying among group support makes all the difference in the world for my sobriety. So, I am receiving regular treatment and staying in a comfortable place while being able to work. It is a win win for me and I have no plans to leave. From what I have learnt, one of the major factors that makes this place uniue is that these guys seem to be financially strong, independently, which translates in their ability to keep a bed unoccupied and "open" for you to move in on a particular date. So, if you are in a rehab and have secured a bed with a payment to move into upon your discharge, a spot that comes available many days before your promised date, is kept ready and vacant for you. This assurance takes a heavy load off your mind and you do not have to worry about whether you will have a safe place to move into upon discharge from your treatment. Wiah there were more place like this. Good job.

My brother is a resident at one of their sober homes and I happen to meet with him every week. I find their $495 charges most reasonable as they are financed/subsidized by the founder who is supposedly independently wealthy.Similar facilities cost $1800 in Michigan. I have come across a couple of my brother's friends who are staying with him at the sober home. Both were facing jail time for drunk driving. Instead, their attorneys advised them to opt for living in a monitored sober home and seek help. I believe Michigan has some sort of a "jail diversion" program for 1st & 2nd DUIs. These fellows were happy to follow the guidelines set forth by the Drug Court and their probation officers. Other than that they are employed and seem to be leading normal lives. A darn good deal compared to being incarcerated with hardened criminals.
